Fun and Easy Fourth of July Recipes for Kids

We shared some fun recipes for the 4th of July that you could make with your kids last year, but in case you’ve already tried those, we wanted to share some new recipes for this year! Whenever we’re gathering recipes, our main goal is to make sure that they’re kid friendly – which usually means you can make and enjoy them together as family.

Fireworks Pretzel Snaps

Oh Sweet Basil has shared these adorable Fireworks Pretzel Snaps that we will definitely be making with our birdies this year. You only need 5 ingredients and they take less than 20 minutes to prepare! Those are definitely the kinds of recipes we love. Follow along here

4th of July Chex Mix

This is the type of recipe that you could make all year long, all you have to do is mix up the color of M&M’s you use. Grab your pretzels, cheerios, rice chex, and festive M&Ms and follow along with Gaby for the cutest 4th of July treat for the whole family.

Independence Day Toast

Get the day started right with 4th of July toast for breakfast! All you need is cream cheese, jam, banana and blueberries to put on top in the shape of an American Flag. This perfect patriotic breakfast is brought to you by Taste & Tell

Firecracker Sugar Cookies

You can’t have a 4th of July party without the firecrackers! Who else remembers eating firecrackers when you were a kid?! They’re probably hands down the most fun candy you could have eaten.

We love this super easy firecracker sugar cookie recipe from Stephanie that’s sure to have your kids going ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ as they get to enjoy this blast from the past.

Rice Krispy Bites

Lastly, it wouldn’t be the 4th of July without rice krispies. And this is definitely a recipe the little ones can help with. You might get a little messy, but that’s only to be expected when you’re baking with the kids!

One of the best parts about this recipe is that you can make it ahead of time, meaning one less thing to worry about on the day. Follow along with this easy recipe here.
