Banana Mummies

The first fun Halloween treat we want to share with you today is Halloween Banana Mummies. These spooky mummies take less than 25 minutes to prepare and are safe to make with kids of all ages. You’ll be able to make 8 mummies with this recipe. (We can also see some really cute ghosts coming out of this recipe.)

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • 1 lb. white chocolate
  • 4 oz. white chocolate
  • 16 mini M&M's
  • 8 lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut your bananas in half and skewer each one with a lollipop stick. Freeze them until firm (about 2 hours).
  2. In a large microwave-safe measuring bowl, melt 1 pound of white chocolate in the microwave according to package directions. Dip the bananas into the chocolate to coat, shaking off any excess. Return to the baking sheet and immediately place two M&M candies near the top for the eyes.
  3. Melt the remaining white chocolate in the microwave according to package directions and fill a small piping bag fitted with a small, round nozzle tip. Pipe zigzags over the banana to form bandages. Chill or freeze until ready to serve.

Mummy pumpkin cookies

Next up are these adorable mummy pumpkin cookies from Omg Chocolate Desserts. Vera has taken our love of spooky treats with a traditional fall favorite (pumpkin pie!) and turned it into the most adorable Halloween treat.

Halloween Oreo Reeses Bats

Halloween Oreo bats are one of the easiest treats you can make with your kids. These easy Halloween treats are only 4 ingredients and are suitable to make with kids of all ages. All you need is edible eye candies, Oreos, Reese's peanut butter cups, and frosting.

 Ingredients

  • 25 Mini Reeses Cups
  • 25 Thin Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (plan on having extra in case some don't break nicely)
  • 1/3 cup chocolate frosting
  • 50 Edible eyes

Instructions

  1. Break the cookies in half and then separate all of the pieces from one another so you now have four "bat wings". Scrape off the frosting on the cookies.
  2. Fill up a plastic bag with frosting. Cut off the tip of the bag and pipe frosting onto the back corners of the broken cookie pieces.
  3. Press one cookie piece on the left of the Reeses cup and another cookie piece on the right of the Reeses cup.
  4. Pipe frosting on the back of the edible eyes and secure it on top of the center of the Reeses cup.
  5. Enjoy!

Pretzel pumpkins

These pretzel pumpkins are another easy and fun-to-make Halloween treats for your kids. These 3 ingredient snacks only take 10 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup White chocolate melting wafers
  • 3 cups mini pretzels
  • Mini chocolate chips, for stems
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Melt your chocolate according to the package directions
  2. Mix orange food coloring into your melted chocolate to create your desired color for the pumpkins
  3. Dip pretzels into the chocolate using a fork and shake off any excess chocolate. Place the pretzels on a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper. You can use a toothpick to help you get the pretzel off the fork and onto the paper.
  4. Before the chocolate dries, stick a mini chocolate chip to the top of the pretzel for a stem.
  5. Allow the pretzels to dry completely before serving.

Strawberry ghosts

It doesn’t get much better than chocolate-covered strawberries… expect white chocolate-covered strawberry ghosts! Another 3 ingredient treat, these Halloween snacks are a great way to sneak a bit of fruit in. To make our favorite strawberry ghosts, all you need is strawberries, white chocolate (to melt), and mini chocolate chips.

To make the cutest strawberry ghosts, follow along with our favorite recipe from Candiquik. You can find her recipe here.

Mummies in a blanket

Now, how about something savory?! In our house, we love pigs in a blanket, which of course meant we had to find a pig in a blanket spin-off for Halloween! To make mummies in a blanket this Halloween here’s all you need.

Ingredients

  • Hotdogs (we cut them in half)
  • Crescent dough
  • Edible eyes

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 375F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut into thin (¼” thick) slices.
  3. Wrap the hot dogs with the crescent dough (make sure to leave a space for the eyes) and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake until the dough becomes golden brown- about 12-14 minutes.
  5. Right when the mummies come out of the oven, place the candy eyes into the dough.

Fun Halloween (leftover) Candy Bark

Are you tired of eating leftover Halloween candy but aren’t sure what to do with it? How about turning your leftover Halloween Candy into a fun Candy Bark? This activity is great for kids because they’ll get to bash up all the candy that’s been leftover from Halloween to turn it into a treat everyone will enjoy.

We found this recipe from Wilton and it’s going to be added to our Halloween arsenal of treats forever now.

Halloween Marshmallow Monster Pops

I couldn’t share all of these recipes with you, without sharing one treat that I always used to make as a kid! Halloween Marshmallow Monster pops have become a family tradition in our household.

There are plenty of ways that you can make these spooky pops, but we found a recipe we love from Kari of Mommy’s Fabulous Finds. Follow along her Halloween Marshmallow Monster pops here to make Frankenstein, ghosts, and spooky pumpkins.

Mini Mummy Personal Pizzas

Last up is one more savory snack that you can make with your kids this Halloween. This last snack is personalized mummy mini pizzas. They’re an easy lunch or dinner this Halloween. All you really need to do is get your mini pizzas dough ready to go, spread some red sauce on for a base, and then let the kids decorate their mummies using olives for the eyes and cheese for the bandaids. You can add pepperoni, bits of ham, or anything else your kids like underneath the mummy bandages.

Before you go, make sure to check out Birdie Bean’s latest Halloween and Fall collections that we launched this month. We’re getting in the spooky spirit and we want you to join us! We know these adorable glow-in-the-dark pajamas will sell out, so make sure you grab yours before that happens!
