Pizza Bagels
We’d be lying if we said these pizza bagels weren’t a weekly occurrence in our house… we let the kids pick their own toppings and decorate them however they like.
The ingredients you need really vary depending on what your kids love, but here’s what you’ll typically need:
- Bagels
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Pizza sauce
- Your favorite toppings
Once your Birdies have decorated the bagels they just need to pop in the oven until the cheese melts. We love these on game day because they keep the kids entertained and are quick and easy to make. What are your kid's favorite toppings?
Creamy Mac and Cheese Bites
At first glance, these might sound like a kid’s choice… but trust me, the adults will be grabbing for them even more than your Birdies will.
Nikki from Chef in Training is always looking for recipes that are going to satisfy her picky eaters, and her houseguests alike, and the thing about cheese is… everyone loves it! I bet these creamy mac and cheese bites are going to be a game-changer to game day this year.

Rice Krispy Treat Footballs
If you’re feeling creative and want to satisfy your sweet tooth, you must try these Rice Krispy footballs that Cheryl has created. Her 3 boys absolutely love them and always want to help in the kitchen. If you want them ‘football’ colored make sure to use chocolate rice crispies and her biggest tip is always to shape them when they’re still hot/warm!

“Walking” Tacos
Have you ever heard of walking tacos? We hadn’t until recently! “Walking” tacos are when you take all of your taco toppings and dump them into an open bag of chips! We’ve tried both Fritos and Nacho Cheese Doritos, and both are *chef’s kiss*.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 envelope chili seasoning mix
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can diced tomatoes and green chiles
- 1 can Ranch Style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
- 5 packages of chips of your choice
- Toppings: Shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and sliced green onions
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles, 6-8 minutes; drain.
- Stir in chili seasoning mix, pepper, tomatoes, and beans; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer until thickened, 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Just before serving, cut open corn chip bags. Add beef mixture and toppings.
These “Walking” tacos can be served on plates in front of the TV while your family cheers on their favorite team!
Pull-Apart Pigs in a Blanket
Lastly, we want to share this grown-up twist on a kid’s favorite: Pig in a Blanket. This is the perfect dish to take tailgating or serve at home during the Superbowl! It’s also super easy to make! Adults and kids alike will love this dish.
