5 Healthy Summer Popsicles for Kids

Green Smoothie Popsicles

Convincing your kids to drink a green smoothie? Impossible…

Convincing them to eat a green popsicle? Anytime. Especially when it tastes this good!

This recipe is super easy to make, and only requires six ingredients and two tools. You need pineapple, banana, baby spinach, orange juice, coconut water and a bit of fresh ginger. Then to make the popsicles you’ll just need a blender and popsicle molds.

We loved this recipe from Elena at Easy as Apple Pie. Follow along with her directions here

PB&J Popsicles

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a childhood classic, but have you ever thought of turning them into a sweet treat? Amanda from the Healthy Family Project has!

This popsicle also calls for six ingredients and the peanut butter will add a healthy boost of protein for your birdies. (Not to mention they’re dairy free!)

Homemade Creamsicles

Feeling nostalgic? That means it’s time to whip up a batch of homemade creamsicles from Delish. This recipe will take a little bit more elbow grease as you have to make the ‘orange’ and the ‘cream’ but the result is worth the work!

Blueberry Breakfast Pops

Want to earn real brownie points with your kids this summer? How does popsicles for breakfast sound? Luckily for us, Trish from Mom on TimeOut has created the ultimate summer breakfast popsicle, complete with granola and greek yogurt.

The best part? It only calls for 3 ingredients. And it means you won’t have to make breakfast… Follow along with Trish and make your own blueberry breakfast popsicles here.

Frozen Banana Yogurt Pops

Bananas happen to be one of the healthiest and easiest things we can feed to kids. Most kids already love them, but when you turn them into a healthy frozen treat for a cold day… Well, they’ll go bananas.

This recipe only calls for three ingredients and some popsicle sticks and it’ll only take about ten minutes to make. Follow along with Lori from the Produce Moms to make your birdies new favorite treat.

5 FUN Summer Desserts for the Whole Family

Now, summer can’t all be healthy, there’s too many fun summer desserts that need to be tried. We’re going to share some of our families favorite desserts, all using fun summer flavors and lots of fresh and seasonal fruit.

No-Bake Peaches And Cream Pie

Peaches are one of the best things about summer. Growing up, my grandparents had a peach tree in their front yard and when those peaches ripened, you couldn’t get me away from their house. That’s why peach dessert is always a top summer choice.

This summer, make this no-bake peaches and cream pie this summer from Delish, and keep the tradition of summer peaches alive for your family.

Homemade Strawberry Cake

Another fun and in season fruit of the summer is strawberries. If your family loves strawberries as much as ours does, then you need to incorporate a fresh strawberry cake into your summer. We personally love this strawberry cake from Lauren’s Latest

You can make your own homemade vanilla cake or just grab a boxed cake (we won’t judge!) and once you have the cake done, you’ll only need four more ingredients to make this treat. Since it doesn’t have frosting, it’ll feel a lot healthier and lighter than other cake options as well.

Raspberry Bars

This treat uses jam instead of fresh berries, which means you can make it all year long – but we still think it’s a great choice for summer. Using oats and jam, these bars are a great alternative to cookies, and they take less than an hour to prepare.

S’mores Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nothing says summer quite like s’mores. Alison from Baker by Nature might have won summer treats with this one! We’ve talked before about making s’mores indoors, but this is taking a classic to a whole other level.

If you love s’mores and cookies, then you are going to love these! But trust us when we say they are rich. You’ll be glad the recipe only makes two dozen.  Make her recipe here

Homemade Dole Whip

Even if you haven’t been to Disneyland, you’ve probably heard of Dole Whip! This treat is an American classic, and we’ve found a copycat that is so easy to make. Homemade dole whip only calls for 5 ingredients, and it only takes 30 minutes to freeze. That means it’s easy to whip up whenever you’re craving something cold and sweet.

Don’t forget the maraschino cherries! Make this homemade dole whip copycat from the Pioneer Woman
